MISSION
Beigel Sailing Media's (BSM) mission is to bridge the gap between sponsorship and media for international sailing championships, host venues, class associations, and professional racing teams with the overall goal of reducing the cost of participation for sailors.
ABOUT Laura
Severna Park, Maryland → Newport, Rhode Island
Laura Beigel, a Severna Park, Maryland native currently residing in Newport, Rhode Island, is a lifelong sailor and professional independent media contractor in the sailing industry. She has over 6 years of experience creating, coordinating, and executing media coverage at both North American and European based international sailing championships.
Laura graduated from the College of Charleston in May of 2013 with a degree in Corporate and Organizational Communications with her eyes set on working in event planning, communications, and media within the sailing industry. She immediately began working full time for the International Star Class Yacht Racing Association (ISCYRA) as their Communication, Media Relations, and Marketing Director as well as Liaison and Communications Specialist for the Star Sailors League (SSL). A mere four months later, she ran her first international championship for the ISCYRA flanked by the SSL media team - the Qualcomm 2013 Star World Championship in San Diego, CA.
Laura quickly fell in love with event media and spent the next few years working alongside the top media professionals in the business to learn, grow, and develop all the skills required to eventually break out on her own.
In 2016, Laura moved to Rhode Island with the goal of one day owning her own media and communications business and establishing herself as an independent media contractor in the international sailing community.
In May of 2018 Beigel Sailing Media was officially launched and her dream became a reality.
In her free time, Laura enjoys sailing, adventuring around New England, and volunteer coaching for the Mudratz sailing team.

Overview
Beigel Sailing Media will work to create and fulfill sponsorship contracts as well as foster sponsor relations to increase the probability of companies continuing to support host venues, organizing authorities, class associations and professional racing teams with future endeavors. Additionally, Beigel Sailing Media will work with the client to create a media budget, hire and manage media team members, and direct onsite production and media distribution. Finally, after the conclusion of the event, all media coverage statistics will be summarized and provided to the client with an evaluation to both measure success and outline areas for improvement.
